When you or a loved one is suffering from depression, New Beginnings Intensive Outpatient Program can be of profound service to the individual and their family and friends.

Depression can strike any person at any time. Copiah Medical Center now offers through New Beginnings IOP a specialized outpatient day program for individuals who are age 50 or older suffering from anxiety, memory changes, and depression.

Using a multidisciplinary approach, we provide individualized care that enables the patient to obtain personal vitality and resilience.

Problems that we can offer treatment plans for in our New Beginnings IOP include:

  • Mood swings
  • Weight loss/gain
  • Grief and loss
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Confusion/Disorientation
  • Excessive worry or fear, anxiety
  • Adjustment Issues
  • Chronic mental illness that is causing problems in daily functioning
  • Suicidal thoughts
  • Hopeless/Helpless thoughts

You do not need a doctor’s referral to be a part of our IOP. Anyone can refer themselves or someone else to IOP. We offer confidential consultations that suit the patient’s comfort level. This includes meeting at an individual’s home.
